THE TAURANGA HOME SHOW HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED
The May Tauranga Home Show has been rescheduled until October.
“In light of the recent announcement by the New Zealand Government regarding public gatherings in relation to the COVID-19 virus, we have pushed the show back until later in the year,” says Dana McCurdy, Managing Director at Bay Events, organisers of the show. “We are pleased to announce that the Tauranga Home Show will now be taking place on the 16th, 17th & 18th of October at Trustpower Arena Baypark.”
“Our priority is ensuring the health and safety of all event visitors, exhibitors and staff. We’ve been working together with the venue and our suppliers and are pleased to be in the position to look to the future and put in place new plans for an October show.”
In the rapidly evolving situation, the event organisers are keeping a close eye on Ministry of Health and Government updates to ensure a viable and successful October event. “We’ve been touched by the outpouring of support,” says Dana. “We will continue to communicate promptly with our clients, industry partners and the general public to make sure everybody is well aware of any developments and we can all make plans for the future together.”
The Tauranga Home Show attracts over 12,000 visitors from around the Bay of Plenty, and 2020 marks its 21st annual show. “The team at Bay Events lives and works in the community that we cater to,” says Dana. “We see firsthand the positive effect that it has on our local economy, and we’re looking forward to the contribution that this show will make to business progress in the region – simply at a later date than originally planned.”
